I’ve just come back from our trip to Tuscany for Alex and Tom’s wedding.
I’m shattered for the frenetic preparation of their big day where everything had to be (almost) perfect; and I’m also full of emotional feelings remembering the bride’s father who came to me and ask me if I could explain what he had to do when his daughter would have come down from the stairs; or Tom’s shining eyes when he saw Alex’s in her beautiful creamy dress…actually this bit was quite funny – I was nearly crying even though I wasn’t part of the family and then Tom spotted me and with a surprised face said “don’t start too please!”).
I was also a bit nervous because I was the official translator at the civil ceremony and I was really worried to get too emotional and not be able to speak!
Waw, Alex and Tom’s wedding was great – I enjoyed all the planning we did in the last months and the time we spent in Tuscany jocking with Franco at the town hall to sort out the burocratic paperwork, with Ida to spot the nicest and most romantic corners of the villa and with Sylvie to make everything (almost) perfect!
I will post some pictures shortly, in the meantime enjoy this photos with Autumnal colours and tones.
It was very hot when we were there but you could feel the summer was over from the fresh breeze which slowly was washing away the late light of the day…
