Egle + Peter: a Grace Kelly theme wedding in Asolo

Thursday, April 19th, 2012

Hi girls,
This is really a quick one…the wedding season has started and there is no time for blogging…soooory!!!

However, today I’d like to show you this wonderful bride and her amazing retro’ look which remind me of old movies with Grace Kelly! I love her hairdo as well as her dress! Plus this wedding took place last autumn in Asolo, a lovely little jewel in our Veneto region! A fantastic place for an intimate wedding far from the most turistic destinations…

A polka red christening candy bar – Part III

Tuesday, April 10th, 2012

Happy Tuesday girls,

Bank holidays are never long enough, especially when it means spending time eating with the family on Easter, meeting with friends coming in Pordenone from time to time, and taking the opportunity for the last customer calls a few days before their big day!!!

After a couple of posts on my polka red origami windmills christening invitations inspired by WOP Photography and my DYI white and red tags, here I am with part III of My Troussepinette‘s christening! Again inspired from the fabulous yellow and grey sweet and cakes buffet from wop girl Stephanie from WOP photograpy!

Here you are with the result: a red and white candy bar I wanted to fill with mostly French specialties: Madeleines, Macarons, Calissons, Financiers, Petits Choux à la crème, Berlingots Nantais,…

Believe me, a few minutes after I made my pics, there was simply NOTHING left on the table…

Un grand merci to Stephanie who inspired me…

A symbolic wedding ceremony poetry: Erri De Luca

Wednesday, April 4th, 2012

Hi girls,

Last week has been full of things to do! Wedding venues visits in Venice with a lovely British couple, a menu taste with creative French bride and groom to be, meeting with actors we will tell you shortly about… My week-end was too short so I could recover…

I like the idea today to share with you a poem of well-known Italian poetry writer Erri De Luca, Considero Valore, I See Value, that I find fresh, sunny, and perfectly adapted with a summer symbolic Italian wedding ceremony that would take place in the Venice countryside in some old vintage, British style villa…

In every form of life I see value,

the snow, a strawberry, a fly,

I see value in the mineral kingdom,

the assembly of the stars,

I see value in wine as long as the meal lasts,

an inadvertant smile,

the weariness of he who has not been spared,

two old people who love each other,

I see value in what will not be worth anything tomorrow and today is still worth little,

I see value in all of the wounds

I see value in saving water,

repairing a pair of shoes,

to silence in time,

to rush to a scream,

to ask before sitting,

to be thankful without recalling for what,

I see value in the wanderer’s voyage,

the nun’s convent,

the prisoner’s patience, whoever’s the fault may be,

I see value in using the verb to love,

and the hypothesis that a creator exists.
