Jenny + Graziano: A summer wedding in Veneto

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I want to show you Jenny and Graziano’s wedding in our beautiful Veneto! Yes, you do not need go to Tuscany to find a stunning countryside – if you want to be a bit different and taste a real Italian style wedding you can choose for an unusual destination such as Feltre, near Belluno and the Alps. You will find the perfect mix of countryside, mountains and plenty of art and culture!

Jenny and Graziano live in Rome, but she is from Feltre and that’s the first reason they choose to have their wedding in there. The second reason is because Veneto is a region rich in Renaissance and Palladian villas that they love.

So, what do you think?

I simply love her dress – the colours are amazing! Plus the flowers – white hydrangea everywhere and babybreath for the bouquet – are simple and so elegant!

The colours of the dress – nude with black and white embroidered little flowers and a black ribbon – have become the wedding theme colours: tables and menus were indeed decorated with white flowers and little black ribbons.

Tatjana+Ralph: Art and Love in Verona

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Ladies and gentlemen,

Hold on to your hats. We are about to embark to a fairytale journey…this is the story of a pricess and her green magic mirror, her prince who felt in love with her beauty and of an enchanting villa in Verona – a wonderland made of strangely shaped chairs, brightly coloured sofas and creative scultures.

All mixed with the Jewish wedding tradition. Love this wedding!

Gaelle + Calum: red hearts and roses

Monday, October 11th, 2010

Morning everyone!

You can’t imagine how happy I was last Friday, not only because it was the beginning of the week-end but also because I found a lovely surprise in our inbox: an e-mail from Gaelle with a full report on her great wedding in Italy!

Gaelle is a French bride who got married to a Scottish guy in Italy a few weeks ago (what a great combination!). We got in contact with her thanks to this blog, while she was planning her English-French wedding in Aquileia (a lovely tiny ancient town not far from Venice). You probably remember her cool diy white and read heart themed stationery, well now you can see a few selected pics from her wedding day.

The white and red heart theme is everywhere: in her hand-made wedding dress, in her daughter dress (she is sooo nice!), in tables and favours…I love the combination of the menu, placehorders and roses…

In the end it was a three days-long party as on Friday we got civilly married at the Municipio in Pordenone.
Then on Saturday, we had a big party in a lovely vineyard in Aquileia, with a very personal ceremony run by my husband’s dad (who’s a vicar) and my brother (who works at the City hall in Clermont-Ferrand and can marry people). (more…)

Charming wall paintings to embrace your love!

I’ve already talked about Danilo’s wedding pictures a while ago, but I can’t stop dreaming in front of them. There is another series of wedding shoots I completely felt in love with!
This colourful yellow and orange background wall makes me feel at home and think of my sunny Italy – especially in this period of the year: it’s May but it is still freezing here in Lincoln and I can’t believe I’m still wearing my coat!
Anyway, this is the inside of Villa Corner della Regina, an elegant Palladian villa in Treviso, which was choosen by this nice Italian couple.

Here below you can give another glance at the internal rooms, which is probably the best part of the building…

But not the only one… (more…)
