It’s always a drama to find out how to dress to an Italian wedding when you receive an invitation… It’s even more difficult when you’re pregnant…like me!
I almost got crazy when I got this invitation to our friends’ wedding which took place last summer…in the end I managed to find something I really felt confortable with…have a look and…by the way, my bump is doubled now!
I wanted something elegant and comfortable at the same time! When you’re pregnant you just want to avoid having to spend the whole wedding day in a smart dress, but which would stress your body so you remember the wedding day in an awful way.
I went for a dark colour silk blouse, black, blue and brown colour with a large elastic band on the bottom which would not stress the belly and underneath a comfortable large fluid black sleeveless overall from Northland!
Nothing exciting really at first sight with the exception that I tried to carefully chose the accessories:
> A black rose made of bright material and pearls to give light to the dress
> High heeled pair of pumps from Paula Mendez – a must-have for any Italian wedding! I did not forget to take a back-up pair of shoes for the evening party!
hehe, I was wearing the same shoes for my civil wedding, but in cream color, I love them !

Hehe! I actually bought this pair of shoes at the very end of the summer last year with the last sales and haven’t had the opportunity to wear them that often! So this year was the occasion really!
Baby due date is not far from now… and I can start and feel some kind of pressure…

Sylvie dear, you have such a lovely bump. Are you pregnant with a boy or a girl? I had my baby girl last March, she’s 8 months now. Your biggest adventure – parenthood is about to begin. I’m excited for you. Love your blog. Where do you live? And may I ask where Stefania is from?
