Entertain your guests with wine tasting

Posted on May 2nd, 2010 by Sylvie

Among the many ways you can find to entertain your guests on your wedding day, wine tasting might be a creative way to conclude your wedding lunch and a nice idea to have a break in between the hundreds of dishes of a tipical Italian wedding dinner!

Our French-Italian wedding was the right opportunity for our foreign guests to taste our Italian local wines! After we thought about it, we actually organized a kind of easy competition, and selected red and white wines from France and Italy, 2 of each, and the idea was for our guests to select the best wine of each category. Pierre, our friend from France who participated to wine tasting in a number of occasions, was the official sommelier and he was consequently responsible for the wine tasting choreography set up!

Here is the list of the wines we selected for our guests :

> White wines: we chose an Italian Chardonnay from Friuli and a French Petit Chablis Bourgogne from Albert Pic.
> Red wines: we chose an Italian Pinot Nero Alto Adige DOC from Montigl and a French Pinot Noir Bourgogne from Faveley.

French Chablis and Italian Pinot Nero got a lot of success! Our guests fine taste got it right!

And a special thanks to Pierre and Laetitia for the time they spent explaining into the right level of details each wine characteristics!
