Hi girls,
How are you today?
This morning it was a bit colder than yesterday, so I had a good excuse to take out of the wardrobe my Karen Miller leather jacket I bought last year on sale. I think after last couple of weeks with such a glorious weather we will struggled to get into a winter mood! That’s way I thought to talk about winter wedding dresses…and I’ve selected some of my favourite Italian wedding dress stylists.
If you are thinking of a winter wedding in Italy, bear in mind it could be quite cold, expecially in the Venice area where we come from. The coldest time of the year is probably from January to March, but those are certainly the quietest ones (a part from the short carnival time in February).
The first ones are two dresses from Atelier Aimee. I simply love their style and this mixture of tulle and fur – I find the black and white match really elegant and sophisticated.
I also like the new Max Mara Bridal collection: I’ve selected two different styles; in the first one I like the fact the sleaves get a nice full and airy shape thanks to the game of different fabrics such as silk and fur; the second one is more sophisticated and I really like the minimal long lenght dress matched to the fur coat.
Then I got stucked in front of the vintage touches of Le Spose di Gio’ winter bridal collection! I love these two close-fitting dresses which recall me the 30′s and 40′s divas of the black and white movies. I also like the idea of wearing a vintage style jacket, which can be nicely matched with a long lenght tulle skirt as well as with nice accessories like a pearl neckless and a birdcage veil.
OTHER IDEAS
Organdie appears to be an ideal fabric for winter wedding dresses, which keeps you a bit warmer then silk. Instead of having a full fur coat to cover your shoulder you can have small pieces of it around your cuffs, neck and to the end of youe skirt.
Next time I will find nice accessories to match your winter wedding gown!
Have a nice week-end!

Atelier Aimee is the best! We have a boutique here in Florence and, if you can get there you will be amazed!
